MOBILE, Alabama -- A Mardi Gras-style parade planned for tonight at 6:30 for the Marine Corps League convention has been canceled because of stormy weather this afternoon in downtown Mobile, city officials said.
The parade was supposed to wind through downtown. Organizers felt it was best to cancel.
A Mardi Gras ball held indoors for the visiting marines will go on as scheduled, officials said.?
