I am leaving on the 6th to my father's chalet. I should be staying there for a month. No internet, no TV.
So far, all that I have planned is a "Woodstock party" with a bunch of musician friends, one or two week-ends of survival with a few outdoorsy friends, the reading of a few books, and a bunch of thinking/writing. The rest is pretty much up to however-I-feel.
What do you recommend me to do? What are your hobbies when you are left alone in the bush? Any useful skills I should practice while I have time?
I bought some trapping wire and plan on practising. Last time I tried, I had no success. If anyone has tips, please share.
I will definitely go country skiing and snowshoeing.
How to make this trip a useful and educational one? Propose challenges if you want.
Maybe winter fishing? I have never tried it, and have no idea about safety/equipment/techniques related to it.
How hard is wilderness-photographing during winter?
Let your imagination run wild!
