A 64-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman found dead in Liverpool nearly six years ago.
The body of Anne Marie Foy was found dumped in a wooded area off Crown Street, near the Royal Liverpool Hospital, on 15 September 2005.
The 46-year-old, who had been working as a prostitute at the time, was beaten and strangled.
Merseyside Police said David Butler, of Albert Grove in Wavertree, Liverpool, would appear in court on Tuesday.
Mr Butler is due to appear at Liverpool City Magistrates' Court.
The partially-clothed body of Ms Foy, a mother-of-four and grandmother, was found in bushes on Crown Street near a Liverpool University car park the day after the she was last seen alive.
